Ministry Team Leaders
Don Curry (Lead Pastor)
Don Curry, native to Northern New York, accepted an Engineering position with General Motors Massena in 1981 after completing his University training at RIT. Don married his high school sweetheart, Mary after graduation, and they have four children, Nathan, Evan, Meghan and Dane. After working nine years for GM, Don became the principal of NTC’s private Christian school, and eventually the Youth and Young Adults Pastor at NTC. In 1994 New Testament Church sent out an apostolic team to start a church in Williamsburg, VA, and since that time Pastor Don and Mary have been the Pastoral Team Leaders. NTC has continued to plant and strengthen local churches both nationally and internationally.
Greg and Jessica Hurlbut (Youth Pastors)
Greg and Jessica Hurlbut have worked at NTC as the Youth Pastors since 2005, following serving under the previous Youth Pastor for years before. Their heart is to see Christ give hope to young people by speaking God's purpose and destiny into them through their Cross Current services and small groups relationships.
Jason Sweet (Church Administrator)
Jason Sweet is NTC's church administrator. Jason has worked as a Human Resources Director for years in the medical field, but has known that God had called him to the church. Jason also heads up our Compassion North Ministry which is responsible for helping the underprivileged and needy of our region.
Heather Ramsdell (Children's Pastor)
Heather has been a part of the Children of Destiny leadership team since 2004, serving alongside her husband Tony before coming on staff in 2008 as the Children's Pastor. Heather has a passion to see all children know Jesus personally and to unlock the God given call in each childs life. She believes children have the same size Holy Spirit as adults and need to be plugged in serving the local church.
Tony and Heather are natives of Northern NY and are planted here to raise their four daughters Gabrielle, Makiah, Danaye, and Annica.
Christine Atcheson (Staff Pastor)
Christine came to Massena in the summer of 2010 to work as a staff pastor at New Testament Church. Previously, she was in ministry in Bermuda and also is the founder and director of Children of Hope. Children of Hope is a ministry that helps orphans and widows in Gulu, Uganda.Christine's heart is to see the broken, poor and needy come to know the love of God and for the Church to be a practical expression of His heart for the hopeless. She is also the team leader for Celebrate Recovery, which is a Christian Recovery Group that NTC has helped orchestrate in the community.
Christine's office hours are Tuesday through Friday, 9am-4pm.
Elaine Kesner (Worship Director)
Elaine Kesner is our worship team leader here at NTC. Elaine and her family have been a part of NTC for many years with Elaine serving as a vocalist on our worship team. She moved into the leadership of our team in 2009 bringing her passion to see The Holy Spirit move through our time of corporate worship. She has pioneered a new sense of family and unity for our team here at NTC and believes this unity will help bring a new move of God in our region.
