Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child is a worldwide children's project of Samaritan's Purse that uses simple gift-filled shoe boxes to let hurting boys and girls know that they are loved and not forgotten.
New Testament Church has been a Relay Center since 2002. Relay centers are officially selected churches that receive shoe boxes from churches, community groups, individuals and families during National Collection Week. At the end of National Collection Week, these locations then "relay" the shoe box gifts they have collected and received to their assigned Collection Center.
Operation Christmas Child began in the United States in 1993 with 28,000 shoe box gifts. Since then, this Samaritan's Purse project has collected and hand-delivered more than 86 million shoe box gifts to needy children in more than 130 countries.
